Tulip Easter arrangement with jellybeans and peeps
DIY
If there is one thing I have learned whilst doing my renovating, it is to style in such a way so I get the most bang for my buck! The same is true with all aspects of design and decorating. Even when choosing wardrobe pieces. When I made this Easter Centerpiece for the first time, I was thrilled with the results. I wanted to come up with something my daughter could give to her teacher at Easter. Cute (and edible) I think it is such a fun, happy arrangement. Perfect for a teacher, or a gift for a friend. Give one to that special someone to sit on their desk at the office. A perfect way to welcome spring! It is incredibly easy, very low cost and has major “wow” factor. The kids can even help with the assembly. The colors are so bright and cheery and it can be modified as needed depending on what flowers are readily available, what holiday it is….basically if there is a peep for it, it can be done!
First thing is to gather materials.

DIY Easter Centerpiece perfect for gift giving
- 2 vases—sized so that one can sit inside of the other-same height
- Easter grass in whatever color you choose
- Peeps— 1-package should do it
- Jellybeans
- Fresh or faux flowers
That’s it! If you’re excited about the short material list keep reading to see how quick this comes together. I personally always wait until the last minute and then I could kick myself as I run around looking for the perfect size vases. Remember to use your coupons at your local craft store and don’t overlook the dollar store. The inventory there changes but there have been times when I have found exactly what I needed all at the dollar tree. (except the flowers, I always use fresh) Don’t forget when buying your vases, you want the smaller vase (the one that will hold the flowers and sit inside the larger one), to be the same height or shorter. The last one I made I used one 3″ and one 4½”. Also remember that the peeps will need to be squished down between the glass. I prefer to use glass for both, as opposed to plastic just because of the weight. If I can get it to where it is going easily, I would definitely recycle a jar or something. Obviously the larger the vase the more jellybeans and peeps you will need. I have never done a large centerpiece. But wow! Wouldn’t it make a fabulous arrangement? Just imagine all the gorgeous spring flowers you could use.

Add the jellybeans to the area between the two glass vases
First, center the small vase inside the larger vase. Hold firmly in place while filling the space between the two vases with jellybeans. Add just enough so that the remaining space is roughly the size of the peeps. Slide the peeps between the glass, touching slightly. Trim your flowers as needed, place in center vase and cover loosely with Easter grass. I usually don’t add much water until it’s delivered safe and sound.

Next add the peeps

Continue adding the peeps until you complete the circle
Voilà! Cute as pie!
How easy was that??? You could use M&M’s, skittles, whatever candy you like. Even the conversation hearts could be used for a Valentine’s day theme. I think I have seen heart shaped peeps before.
Be sure to let me know how yours turned out and I would love to hear what combination of flowers and candy you used.
